The President, in this world, can get away with adultery. Lying about it after being caught and thus slandering his accusers may still go beyond the pale. The effect of his lies on his accusers is what violates his oath to the constitution. It simply IS impeachable. The notion of a President allowing untold honest women to be vilified due to his own failure to fess up; An American president allowing citizens to suffer from his own unnecessary lies. Pointing his finger and lying while on the job speaking to the people- it violates his oath of office! All of this lying violates his oath! It's repugnant to all political parties! The sex alone, properly fessed up to, would slip by in this world- but that's not his problem now. His problem is he is STILL lying and failing to fess up, and few of us on this thread seriously doubt that. Was it once with Jennifer F. or a 12 year affair? Did Kathleen Willey lie? Has he no recollection of being rejected by Paula? Acchhh! In this he said/she said affair, his credibility is shot. The Senate should convict. Being forgiving of lying about sex is not appropriate anymore- he continues to lie when caught even though he ought to know noone can now believe him. Oddly this begins to cease to affect the reputation of his accusers since few believe him, yet he still lies as though he hopes they WONT be believed in the end. The imbecility of this ought to make us all want him gone. He is clearly deluded at this point.
But this is just me, always ready to give a fair shake where it's due!
