No reason we shouldn't keep the dream alive a bit longer.

If Intel is near a deal with Novell, it would seem they wouldn't have announced it any sooner than today because it would take the spotlight from the MMX debut.

Also, such a deal would no doubt make some Intel investors apprehensive, and so a better timing would be just before a good quarterly earnings announcement, such as is expected in another week or so.

Ergo, if there is to be a deal soon, we probably wouldn't hear of it until this weekend or early next week.
