Article on TechWeb today about ATI's new chips. techweb.com ATI's chips sound like direct competitors for NMGC's 256AV chips -- 4 MB RAM, hardware assist for DVD playback, targeted at high-end mobile market. Plus they add 3D, which NMGC should be announcing at Comdex. I wonder what the power consumption comparison looks like. ATI is catching up, but NMGC has home field advantage. Is 54% market share sustainable?
