Very interesting points.
A money changer in Montreal recently went bankrupt, and 28.5 million in the hole. Their records were a mess an their main computer server disapeared. They had 70 Bank accounts around the world, and the investigation points to 1/2 the money was siphoned off.
Now, back to your point about Y2K. Imagine how many of these fraudsters will be pulling off these types of scams next year, knowing that confusion will reign in the financial system around the world, and no-one will have the time to trace "piddly" sums such as 5 or 10 million! And not to mention the lost data that will wipe out any traces of such deeds.

I think you just gave us a window on the events that will be occuring around us in Y2K Land.
Trully scarry, and everyone must protect their wealth or be very sorry.......
