LOL Poet again,

This reminds me of my friend birdhunter in mtrader, whom I always responded to with LOL.

Glad you asked about mIRC channels. I quit using them a few months ago for the reason you mentioned, among others: by the time you get a call from someone else, scramble to get a L2 window open, try to figure out what it's all about, if it's any good, it's already gone. So I gave up playing other peoples' calls. I had a system of my own before i started following channel calls and the channels just interfered with my trading. It was very distracting to watch four mIRC channels, respond to posts in at least two of them, and watch RT3 with any consistency. I am much happier without mIRC. I even turn off CNBC at the open so I can concentrate better. For now at least, I feel everything I need is on my RT3 screen. I like it that way. Let's me devote all my energy to lots of trades! By the way, I got slaughtered playing Ken Wolff's calls. I think he is very sloppy and off-hand most of the time and the proof is he'll admit he'd never trade most of his own calls. He makes them to keep people around, but most of those who play his calls lose lots of money on them before they wise up. Just my opinion (and experience) of course.

The calls on the channels come from a handful of news services and if you want to play news stories, you should get the news services so you get the stories first. If you play calls in bastages or DT (or mtrader), you will get frontrun most of the time. You'll be picking up on the dump end of the pump-and-dump plays and this will get expensive over time. I watched some very nice folks in mtrader get their butts kicked every day doing this and it broke my heart, frankly. So I have nothing to do with mIRC any more, except that I'd love to find MBT's new channel on othernet if I could figure out where othernet is! Any clues would be appreciated.

Rick
