This is an interesting play. For some reason, many companies didn't see the hand writing on the wall back when the Union Jack was lowered for the last time and the hammer and sickle was raised. Fact of the matter, the future of that once beautiful Hong Kong can be seen by a visit to the heart of the CHICOM mainland or to Pyongyang or Hanoi or Havana. The red menace will similarly play itself out in Hong Kong as well..But enough of the geopolitics. This deal reminds me much of SETO's fall 97 acquisition of a Malaysian company that wanted a listing with an American firm. SETO's price did a near 8 to 9 fold increase immediately after. TG
