Jerome,

I think the best way to spend $10,000 in the next 6 months in the semi equipt sector is to sit on your hands. Until KLIC sees an upswing, no one else is going to. Until fabs are running at 90+% capacity, new ones aren't going to get built - and with line widths shrinking and 300 mm years off, it's tough to see why anyone would need to. Having said that, I think FPD companies are a niche worth looking at, so I like ORBKF. I like KLIC, because sooner or later (probably within 6 months), people HAVE to buy bonders as unit counts go up. And I like ETEC because of line shrinks being the current driver.

So my first idea is leave it in cash, but if we have to give you a portfolio, I'd invest my $10,000 in ORBKF, KLIC, and ETEC.

Bob
