>>>>>Clusters of innovation, reinforced by imitators and speculators, cause cyclical movements with the economy pulsating to the threefold rhythm of the 3 year Kitchin cycle ( identified with inventory accumulation and decumulation) , the 8-11 year juglar cycle ( related to individual innovations) and the long Kondratieff cycle ( caused by the appearance of major innovations). <<<<<
Mike, and Will, tell me the truth. The above quote seems to me to be pure, how shall I say it, h.s.? I recognize that there is periodicity in this world, e.g., seasons, sunspots, comets, meteor showers, und so weiter. It seems to me to be junk science to attempt to impose periodicity on processes of human behaviour. (Unless clearly called for, e.g., seasons of a man's life, menstruation, gestation period, und so weiter). If you don't agree, I won't push the matter, because it may not be a suitable topic for debate. No point arguing about matters of taste.
