I'd be curious to hear anybody else's input to Mike P's question here.

I also own Dell and I received a flyer in the mail recently to send away for more information on NTAP's product. It could have been one of the other lists on I'm on since I'm in the computer field, but I find it coincidental that I also own Dell. Did anybody else in the field get a similar flyer?

We use EMC at my worksite (we have 3 Symmetrix'), but we don't have any NT data on them.

It sounds like NTAP's product is similar in high availability to EMC, but not nearly as smart, which is how EMC differentiates itself from the competition. I would see NTAP competing with us at a lower price point...if a customer doesn't want to pony up the big bucks. If they want the high availability, but can do without the bells and whistles, and add-on products, that an EMC product provides.

Any other input?
