Baker-

<<Is IBM buying RAID product from Mylex in any significant quantity? As far as I know IBM left Mylex and took their RAID development in house about two years ago. So IBM wouldn't have to deal with Compaq at all if Compaq bought Mylex>>

No, I don't think IBM is a significant MYLX customer, if they are a customer at all. As I recall Al did not mention them when he discussed the major customers in the previous conference call. So you can substitute HP, Dell or whomever for IBM. I simply used IBM as an example to illustrate my point that manufacturers tend to avoid buying from their arch-competitors, but of course that is not a hard and fast rule. The fact IBM is not currently a significant customer does not alter my argument.
