I agree that everything looks go go go! But solid
state will replace moving parts only where size,
weight, or power consumption, and perhaps speed
justifies the higher cost. Admittedly there are
many such opportunities but let's not go overboard
on the possibility of replacing or even competing
with moving parts for many applications until the
price becomes more competitive. Ultimately we may
eventually replace cd's, hopefully before the
patents run out!
