Which is precisely the problem with MSFT.
It is choice by default. The OEM agreements kill competition. Look at SYQT. They were the leaders, made the best technology, and IOM still killed them because of OEM.
MY Zip drives burn up, my SYQT keep going. Yet OEM put IOM at the top until a new technology ousts them, or until they introduce a new technology. The difference is that they market a commodity. MSFT markets an accepted standard.
