Glenn, do you know how much was spent on advertising? Do you know the margin on music? So it is just a much an article of faith for you to maintain that amzn could not be profitable if it chose to be.

I can understand that as an investor, one could fault amzn for its general secretiveness about its business approach. Personally, I see Bezos as lifting a number of pages from the "Business Bible that Bill Wrote." While I personally despise many of Bill's tactics, I have certainly benefited as an investor from them in the past.

At any rate, why do certain bears on this thread choose to pounce on anyone who makes anything resembling a bullish statement re: the 'thingg'?
