 Mr. Archie Nesbitt reports
Drilling on the company's Jiawula silver-copper-lead-zinc deposit in Nei
Mongolia, China, continues to intersect extremely significant massive to
semi-massive sulphide mineralization on zone No. 2 in core holes J-98-13,
J-98-14, and J-98-15. High grade intercepts were encountered in each of these
holes. Zone No. 12 is only one of 40 mineralized zones that has been drilled
 extensively to date.
Core hole J-98-13 intersected 3.95m (12.96 feet) grading, in the upper and lower
intervals, 136.8 g/t Ag, 0.23 per cent Cu, and 19.46 per cent combined Pb-Zn.
Core hole J-98-14 intersected 16.98m (55 feet) grading, in the upper and lower
intervals, 72.68 g/t Ag, 0.26 per cent Cu, and 6.49 per cent combined Pb-Zn
 which contained a 1.6m (5.25 feet) interval grading 153.84 g/t Ag, 0.44 per cent
Cu, and 19.7 per cent combined Pb-Zn and a 2.44m (eight feet) interval grading
177.04 g/t Ag, 0.62 per cent Cu, and 10.2 per cent combined Pb-Zn.
 Core hole J-98-15 intersected 7.35m (24.1 feet) grading 163.49 g/t Ag, 0.55 per
cent Cu, and 10.12 per cent combined Pb-Zn which contained a 2.78m (9.12
feet) interval grading 329.05 g/t Ag, 1.02 per cent Cu, and 15.5 per cent
 combined Pb-Zn.
Final assays for several other core holes will be released as soon as additional
analytical procedures for particularly high grade intervals have been completed.

Naneco has completed a total of 30 confirmation and exploration core holes to
date on Jiawula No. 2 zone with sample cutting completed onsite and one-half
core samples being shipped to ITS in Vancouver for assaying. The remaining
one-half core is stored at the Jiawula mine site. Assays will be ported as available.
Drilling will continue through 1998, weather permitting, to explore further along the
trend of zone No. 2 and to expand on the known mining resource pending
 completion of planned geophysical surveys.
