Gottfried, I think LGND's price in January will be a re-run, but there will be much more news. I you look at LGND's site prnewswire.com which has 1 year's worth of press releases, you will say that they only news for 1Q was the H&Q presentation (press releases on Targretin and Panretin for topical KS) and the expanded AHP agreement on progestins. That's it (the next press release is the end of March on finacials). Reuters has already predicted a leptin deal this month and LGND will begin phase II trails on type II diabetes this quarter. However, much more is happeneing on the clinical front (30 on-going trials and more planned for ALRT1550) and more brokers have LGND at a STRONG BUY (4 of the 5 recs). LGND moved up 38% in 1996. I expect 1997 to be much better. Henry
