The press will cover .... Last summer I attended a rally at the State Capital along with 6 thousand others ( including Jesse Ventura by the way ) to demand the MN state surplus ( which this year amounted to 25% of the budget )be returned to the tax payers. The next day the front page of the Mpls Tribune was devoted to a picture of about 20 welfare rights advocates who marched the same day. One of the 4 TV stations covered the event. Perceptions of a biased press come from experiences like this. Oh, by the way, 90% of the budget surplus was spent and the remainder used to reduce real estate taxes.
