Quadrax Begins Shipping Lacrosse, Bicycle And Hockey
Equipment

PORTSMOUTH, R.I., Jan. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Quadrax Corp announced today that it has
begun shipping its Thermo- Plastic(TM) lacrosse sticks, bicycle handlebars and hockey sticks
directly to retailers and through catalogues. The products are also being marketed to original
equipment manufacturers and will be exhibited at major sporting goods trade shows in January
and February. All the products are branded under the Quad Force(TM) name and are being
manufactured at the Company's Portsmouth, Rhode Island facility.

Lacrosse sticks are being distributed through the LAX catalogue while bicycle handlebars have
been picked up in the Quality Bicycles, Bicycle Technology International and G. Joannou
catalogues. The handlebars are also being sold through distributors in Japan and Australia.
Hockey sticks are being marketed directly through retailers and have already been purchased by
high school programs. In addition, the Company continues to explore OEM relationships for each
of these product categories.

Quadrax will be exhibiting these products extensively at key trade shows, including the Lacrosse
Coaches Show in Stamford, Connecticut and the Montreal International Sports Exposition, a
major hockey show, both in January. The Company will also be at the PGA Show this month
exhibiting its Thermo- Plastic(TM) golf shafts and will exhibit at the Supershow, the major sporting
goods industry event of the year, in Atlanta, in February.

James J. Palermo, Chairman and Chief Executive of Quadrax Corporation, stated, "While much of
our recent attention has been on the Thermo-Plastic(TM) golf shafts, we have not lessened our
focus on other products. We are excited by the high level of interest in our Quad Force(TM)
lacrosse sticks, handlebars and hockey sticks and the sales of these products to-date. We've
assembled an experienced sales force for each product category and are optimistic that sales will
continue to increase as more retailers and OEM's embrace our product line. The timing of these
trade shows and the increased exposure for our products should benefit our direct sales efforts."
