The Gales of November.... On November 10, 1975 at 7:25 PM, the Edmund Fitzgerald ore freight broke in two and sank to the bottom of Lake Superior killing 29 men. Experts believe it was hit by a 30 wave which may have caused it to bottom out in the wave trough-the weight of the ore spliting the ship in two. The event happened so fast that the captain was on radio one minute mildly worried; the next minute the ship was sunk. Interestly enough, tomorrow a storm of similar strength is posed to strike Lake Superior once again with hurricane force winds over the lake. What does have to with MDIN? Nothing. Still there is a lesson to be learned-learn your history well-it tends to repeat itself. As far as fianancing goes. I heard that the financing has been obtained. More than enough to fund a full blown drill program through the Winter. Now for more important things-time to put the lawn furniture away for the season before it blows into Canada!
