RE: lu acquisition candidates An article in thestreet.com this evening indicates that ascend is going into the service business, and expects consulting services to its clients to make up 10% of its billings; diversifying to maintain profit margins. this doesn't seem like the path of a company about to be acquired (near-term). My take is they are out of lu's acquisition pathway; efforts looking for the takeover candidate are probably better directed elsewhere. david s.
