Good questions Irby...i have about 20 clients/traders etc. utilizing the services...
in my experience a 33.6 connection is OK, nothing special, forget smooth video (infact I suggest minimizing any bandwidth for video with anything under 56k) but audio is fine...audio takes about 8k, 1/4 of a 33.6...and only when there is talking..no talking, no bandwidth...
if you have a 56k the video gets good.
at isdn, cable modem or lan speeds, its the best service in the industry, as good as full time phone connection.
as far as cpu speed, video, well, i havent had anyone have issues there as long as youre dealing with a pentium class machine...
more speed, obviously better.
also, YOU dont need a video to see me..but then ofcourse I cant see you...but you can see me on my video and regardless of video, the audio can be heard by all.
