Internet Database Supports Enterprise Business Geo-Intelligence Solutions
Limerick, PA - November 10, 1998 - Sedona GeoServices, Inc., a Scangraphics company (Nasdaq: SCNG), today announced that it is developing the Sedona® SpatialVision™ line of products for Oracle8i™ (Nasdaq: ORCL) the world's first database for Internet computing. Sedona's support of Oracle8i and Oracle8i Spatial, the leading technology for spatial data management, will enable enterprise business users to access business and geo-spatial data from any location at any time via the Internet.
Oracle8i Spatial is the ideal foundation for SpatialVision's easy-to-use, timesaving features to optimize the critical business need for rapid return on information investments by exploiting the geo-spatial components of business data. Through secure web access to the myriad of corporate data, businesses can use Oracle8i and SpatialVision to manage accounts better, provide visual decision support information, enhance site planning, optimize resource management and in any application where tabular geographic data is easier to understand when delivered visually.
