Jeffery,

Check the PC reviews. Dell, Micron, and Gateway are always the top vendors (actually, it's more between Dell and Micron) in terms of best performing machines, best service and support, etc.

I have a Gateway desktop at home. It's about 8 months old. Anyway, if you have a problem with anything, they will ask no questions, and overnight a replacement part to you. If you don't feel like installing the replacement yourself, they have the next business day onsight service thing--where someone comes to your house and fixes the computer.

All of this is free, and very easy (as in, they don't haggle you about things).

I can't believe that retailers aren't doing worse....

Jeff, return your computer to Best Buy.

Sal Habash

P.S. Depending on the system you order, you can get it about 2-3 days from the time of purchase. Also, Micron has something called "Computers Now," where they have popular models preconfigured, and they can send it to you instantly.

P.P.S. [Standard Disclaimer] For you information, I own MUEI. So I am recommending that you buy your computer from them! ;)
