Nikkei inches up by midday, yen supports exporters
TOKYO, Nov 10 (Reuters) - Tokyo stocks firmed slightly by midday in thin Tokyo trade on Tuesday, as the yen's weakness against the dollar boosted shares in Japan's major exporters, traders said.

At midday, the benchmark Nikkei stock average was up 47.60 points or 0.34 percent at 14,242.14. December futures were up 20 at 14,250.

The Nikkei average drifted within a narrow range throughout the morning, with most players sidelined ahead of the release of Japan's economic stimulus package on November 16
