You're right. Point well taken!

My 175-stock universe isn't in any way a representative sample of all stocks out there. I would guess that 95% of them are on the NYSE. Most of them are priced between $10 and $40. Most of them are stocks with relatively high betas. Many are stocks of companies I personally happen to like [major bias]. Most are well known companies. Few are tech stocks. On and on and on...

Thus, there is absolutely no way I can make any valid conclusions about the stock market in general based upon the results of my scan. That's why I published the data here at the Kook thread instead of in the Harvard Business Review! <G>

Having said all that, I still the market still might go down in the next 5-10 days.
