Christian, You are correct in what you are saying but...I think that there is a linguistic problem on the thread. There are shorting opportunities in every market. Most of the people on the thread are 'fundamental' shorters and they are correct in their assessment on that basis. A rising flood floats everything so it is unwise to be building a short position on fundamentals at this point. I think that you speaking more as a 'trading' short and I feel that you are correct on that basis. Even trading shorts need careful thought...I remember too well that ktel served my head to me on a platter. I think that they are merely saying that is much easier to find safe longs than safe shorts at this particular moment. Caution is never a bad thing. However a good short trade is a thing of beauty, if you take my meaning. lee
