Thursday January 9 9:45 AM EDT NCI wins two CES Innovations '97 awards NCI to introduce professional version of its Flashback VoiceLink LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 9, 1997--NCI (Norris Communications Inc. NASDAQ:NCII) Thursday announced that its Flashback VoiceLink and a new product called the Personal Voice Processor (PVP-2000) have been selected as Innovations '97 winners at the 1997 International Winter Consumer Electronics Show. The Flashback VoiceLink turns a Windows-based PC into a long-length digital audio recorder. The VoiceLink plugs directly into the PCMCIA slot of notebook and desktop computers and features a connection for either a wired or a wireless microphone. It records directly to the computer hard disk at an industry-high rate of 18 minutes per MB, which is nearly 20 times smaller than a WAV file of comparable length. At this rate, it can store over 30 hours of digital voice recording on one IOMEGA Zip cartridge.
