Max,

>mental stops or pre-set stops<

On volatile stocks I use mental stops. The reason being that wild swings have a way of taking out your pre-sets and then go right back up again, thus knocking you out of the action. This of course requires you to be watching the stock nearly tick by tick. Slower stocks such as EY, USHG, HOEN, IFCI etc. I used pre-set after watching the trading pattern for a while. NAVR I would only use mental stops and take a pre-set profit. As any other internet stock NAVR runs like the wind and comes down just as fast, then goes the opposite way again, great for trading in and out several times a day using hourly overbought oversold stoch's.
