I wonder if the K7 will be at 600 MHz by February of next year ? AMD will give another glimpse of its upcoming K7 processor in a paper entitled: "A 7th-Generation x86 Microprocessor." In that paper, AMD will discuss circuitry as well as the fetches, decodes, and other feature that will beget three instructions per cycle in a 15-stage pipeline architecture. AMD will also present a paper about a floating-point unit for the K7 built around an out-of-order, three-way superscaler multimedia technology.
