It is a multi-way system. Everyone could and can hear everyone and see everyone, if everyone has speakers, microphones, cameras. Etc. You can 'ignore' and disable features etc. You can chat, see and talk with specific people.

It works like this: We have a Video conference server. We have about 20 conferences on it. The Firm traders (me, Yi, Amy) etc. are in the root conference. Anyone on the server can hear and see us, regardless of what conference you are in. We can hear and see everyone, yet everyone else on the server, in various conferences, can only hear and see eachother (those in the same conference, assuming they dont have eachother 'ignored'.)

Many of our traders don't want distraction, etc., others like to be in rooms with similarly minded individuals. We dont like to have ore than 4 or 5 traders in any one conference, yet it works well upto 12 or so. Now clearly if everyone started talking at once, you couldnt discern anothing.

We've never had a morning call or morning roundtable discussion, etc. but use it primarily for trading, reporting, feedback, guidance etc. For those purposes, nothing beats it. Like haveing your trading firm on the phone all day, at no cost to either party.

Anyway, I was thinking a morning rountable for 1/2 hour or so. Might be worthwhile for all. If we got a lot of people, I'd have to limit # of people in the conference and maybe open up one or 2 conference.
