There will be a host of lawyers trying to get a piece of the pie on this. In most cases the company (RXSD) will settle this by taking a few million dollars charge. They rather let the cases settle quickly than pursuing legal fights which the company will eventually win most likely. However, a long, drawn-out fight is bad for the stock price.

The key to all this is the real losers are the class members. When the settlement is issued (about 12-18 months from now), an average class member will get 1% of what is entitled him/her if lucky. The bulk of the money goes to the lawyers. I typically don't even bother to join the settlement class since the check will amount to merely $10-$20, not even enought to pay for a full trip commission.
