Mike,

In regards to CIEN...you mention a valuation model. If you wouldn't mind could you briefly highlight its main points?

Also, in the world of unruly yet efficient markets, somethings always manage to slip through the cracks. If you could, give me an opinion on Supergen (SUPG). Joseph Rubenfield, co-founder of Amgen has created this company from the ground up...brick for brick...with the CEO of Oracle's money! How about that for financing saviness <G>. One successful CEO picking the pocket of another successful CEO. In any case, Rubenfield has employed what I believe to be a great risk mitigating strategy at Supergen and they are working on a slew of products to bring to the market. On top of that he has somehow convinced industry buffs from several major pharma's to conclude that their companies aren't going anywhere and that it was time to jump ship. It's mutiny I say! <G> Their websight is very good for details of their product line and strategy supergen.com

The market has run by this one it seems. Maybe Joey R. has in mind to create another Amgen. At least he knows all the inside nitty gritty on how to get it done. Or maybe he's just deriving a good salary off of Larry Ellison rather than retiring <G>.

As always your opinions and remarks are greatly appreciated,

GS
