As a result, Chevron expects that its Year 2000 assessment and corrections will include ongoing remedial efforts into the year 2000." "While the company believes that the impact of any individual Year 2000 failure will most likely be localized and limited to specific facilities or operations, the company is not yet able to assess the likelihood of significant business interruptions occurring in one or more of its operations around the world. Such interruptions could prevent the company from being able to manufacture and deliver refined products and chemicals products to customers. The company could also face interruptions in its ability to produce crude oil and natural gas."
