Although there is no commission charged ... most firms charge a processing fee. If I tender, NDB charges me a $25 processing fee. If I do not tender and the deal goes through, I still get the .52 a share but am charged a "mandatory" fee of $10. In truth, unless you are in a hurry to get the cash, there is no need to tender. They cannot pay you less and the only difference is that if you tender you get the cash immediately, if you do not tender may take a couple months until the deal closes. I started to buy this stock at $30 all and more on the way down, I am out a small fortune. For the peanuts I am getting I can wait. No hurry.
