I heard from reliable sources that the President of Singapore was on his way to sign the buyback bill with pen in hand when he stepped on a piece of chewing gum haphazardly thrown in his path by some insolent sot. A full investigation has been launched, and the news is, THERE WILL BE NO SIGNING until this cretan is brought to justice. Meanwhile, Wrigley stock just continues to soar. Don't you just hate that?
