re: Fox+

first question: if you are using Windows 9x, are you using Fox Plus for Win 95, which is vastly superior to the initial 16 bit Fox Plus software?

If not, upgrade and I think you will see vastly improved performance.

Otherwise, some of your database files may have gotten too large, especially the quotes database which stores historical quotes.

You can go to the data subdirectory of you FoxPlus directory and look at the size of your quotes.dat file.

I do the following housekeeping weekly (I'm not interested in keeping historical quotes data):

before booting up fox plus I delete the following files from my data subdirectory:

quotes.* (two files)
jcomm*.* (two files)
*.fcs (multiple files)

when I boot up FoxPlus, the icons are all screwed up. Fix that by going to File/Preferences/General (toolbar icons): choose large with text and apply.

Fox plus then runs significantly faster.

Buena suerte, amigo...
