pezz - I ordinarily would have limited the out of wedlock sex comment to a reference to teenagers, but there is a price being paid for non-monogamous sexual relations.

Your decision to remain single is your business; the problems created by those who engage in sexual practices outside of marriage, particularly those associated with STD's, abandoning and even abusing unwanted children or having abortions, are everyone's business, because we as a society have to deal with the problems created by those situations.

Your view of us being an "enlightened" society is interesting given the context of your argument. I think many of us who have lost friends and acquaintances to AIDS have a slightly different view of the "enlightened" status of sexual promiscuity.
