Peter, the only problem I see with that is that far too few people actually pay taxes with their returns. While there are some that do, and they make up the bulk of the $ paid at the time of filing, the majority end up getting returns. Then there are all of us that have to do the quarterlies and/or file extensions.

I'd rather get rid of the reason for the 1040 than tie voting to it.
