Data for Maxwell: (Kumar pumps up estimate) Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) gained ground ahead of its analyst meeting Thursday morning. Piper Jaffray's Ashok Kumar expects the company to earn 13 cents a share in the fourth-quarter on revenue of $800 million, up 30 percent from the prior year. AMD shares climbed 1/4 to 25 1/4.
