If you do your math, MUs price does not equal. Apparently a lot of wishful people must be taking into consideration for the year ending 2000 (Aug 2000). It amazes me how anybody can predict what this company will do 2 years from now.
The math that I know says that earnings estimates for the year 1999 (Aug 1999) is -.14 per share. EPS for the year 1998 was -1.10 per share.
EPS earnings estimate for Year 1999: -1.30 to 1.00 per share. Average is -.14. Now, lets take Intels P/E ratio of 29.54 (MU is no Intel, used for example),
-1.30 x 29.54= -$38.40
1.00 x 29.54= $29.54
-.14 x 29.54= -$ 4.14

This is why I can say this stock is so over-priced.

Intel paid $31.64 per share last month.

Now, do your math and I would like to see what you come up with.

This stock will be back in the 20s.
