Why would they want to? And pay all that overhead, like multi-billion dollar NFL contracts that lose money?

I'm the first to agree these valuation are absurd (though I am now playing Internuts long on a day to day basis). But the traditional media companies are starting to look like pale shadows of the giants which ruled in the 1960's and 1970's. Maybe all the talk of a paradigm shift is just premature and not complete nonsense.

Lots of folks with lots of money think so - for now at least.
