I have been observing the TICK these last few days and have noticed that the indicator has been negative for most of the day. Today the most I saw it postive was +250, I didnt watch it for a full 7 hours, but I caught alot of it.

I am not sure if there is precise correlation but it seems that it might be. The S&P seems to be stalling, and the russell has been sliding too. I have noticed that in the basket of mid caps I follow.

I will keep watching, but I think there is reason to be careful. When the market was making great strides, the TICK was always positive, and now it is fighting, thus more stocks are fighting to progress. Profit taking it might be, or FED fears.. New highs arent guaranteed. Thank goodness that the big cap techs are holding up, anyone notice how well MSFT has been trading lately?
