Excerpt from CBS Marketwatch this afternoon:
Informix buzz: Hey, when you have a bunch of analysts in town, ride their
coattails, right? After Oracle CEO Larry Ellison takes the stage at Oracle
OpenWorld in San Francisco Tuesday, he'll brief Wall Street analysts at the
database company's headquarters in Redwood Shores, Calif.

Leave it to little-guy Informix Corp. (IFMX) to grab the Wall Street crowd the
next day, right at San Francisco International Airport just before the analysts
head back to work. Early word is that Informix will unveil several large
database deals and products that center on Internet commerce. Informix
stock, at 6 1/2 or so, could pop to 8 1/2 if Informix CEO Bob Finocchio gets
specific about new contracts with Baby Bell companies, one investment pro
says. Informix reported a third-quarter profit of $18.4 million vs. a $110.5
million loss in the same time period a year ago
