Researchers at Yamanashi University say they have developed a
catalyst that can selectively remove the carbon monoxide mixed in with hydrogen gas, boosting the performance of PEM fuel cells. The catalyst is a multiporous material made from a composite oxide with a fine powder of platinum-ruthenium alloy.
