Have you seen a Beta or read the requirements for Windows 2000?
Optimal, according to Microsoft is a Pentium II processor with 64 megs of DRAM (Hmm, wonder if it could require more horsepower, Naw, not MSFOFT) . The latest I've heard is M$soft is pushing hard to have this released by next June at the latest. They're trying to have it shipping before IT budgets are finalized for the fiscal year 2000. My guess is they'll make that date and have a slew of add on products and features later on, for the stuff that isn't ready. Not many systems sold 2 or more years ago could fully handle this OS so I believe this will also spur a substantial increase in hardware sales for the 2nd half of next year. Thinking of shorting the puts on CPU for next February or May. Any thoughts? Good premiums. If I get exercised I own the stock at a good price.
