J.E.,
I was not privy to the discussions involving the extraction of precious metals from extremely low quality deposits by the "heap leaching" method, but I do see that it changed the face of the mining industry. I am certain that there were folks who doubted its feasibility then, and for the extremely uninformed, perhaps even now!
Hard cold fact is that it did work! It brought into production vast assets which were theretofore untapped!
While I understand the schepticism of the average investor in "unproven areas of mining technology", I hope to point to the past in their enlightenment. While I am loath to say that this particular company has the magic formula until I see the "metal in storage", I am willing to say that there is always great doubt of any attempt to diverge from the "accepted methods and technology". Let me simply remind of the past and say that if this particular company does not do it, then some other will! There is much to be known about the deposits hiding within the earth, and I do not surmise that I know anything about them, but I do surmise that perhaps we are collectively very stupid about what is and what may be very, very economically extractable.
If you pass by me begging on the street and you later become vastly wealthy, then please cast in my direction a crust of bread or a full bottle of your wine turned to vinegar, for I love old bread and vinegar. Perhaps if you are generous, a few cloves of garlic, also!
