Jorge,

The component price versus the product pricing issue even if correct would not affect the report coming on Thursday. DELL's price reductions followed INTELs price reductions. Sales of high end servers and workstations should offset any margin squeeze at the low end.

The 7.6% number seems to be meaningless. Is it supposed to be the sequential unit growth rate or is it supposed to be the Year over year quarter growth rate. In either case it is way off.

Sequential unit growth rate:

Last quarters units were 1.805 M.
This quarters units are reported to be 2.0 to 2.1 M units.
The sequential growth rate is therefore between 10.8% and 16.3 %.
There is no possibility of a 7.6% sequential unit growth rate.

Last year November unit shipment were 1.209 M units.
Thus the year over year growth is between 65.4% and 73.7%.
So again no cigar to the analysts.

Pure BS..........

Regards

Jim Kelley
