SEATTLE, Nov. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Go2Net, Inc. (Nasdaq: GNET), a network of technology- and community-driven Web sites ( go2net.com ), has appointed Dr. Oren Etzioni, co-creator of the renowned MetaCrawler online search service, to its Board of Directors. Etzioni, a professor at the University of Washington's Department of Computer Science, also co-founded Netbot, Inc., which was acquired by Excite, Inc. in 1997.
"Oren is one of the most respected figures in the world of Web search technology," said Russell C. Horowitz, Go2Net chief executive officer.
