To All,
One of the thread participants sent me a PM that suggested that my posting of the SEC links regarding stock-line.com's SEC problems was intended to be a thinly veiled insult or attack on CashCo (or its' officers). What follows is my PM response to that thread participant:
Sorry that you took my post the wrong way. It was not meant as a slam on CashCo. It was relevant to stock-line.com only. Why would you think I was slamming CashCo? I haven't posted anything nasty about them even though there's a lot of things I could question about them.
Actually, I went to (the) site provided in (the) link and found that one of my own investments was on the site. I listened to the interview with the CEO (HearX, EAR:AMEX), thought it was good and proceeded to look for the usual disclaimer on the stock-line site. I couldn't find one, so I thought stock-line was legit and I posted the stock-line link on the HearX thread here on SI.
A few minutes later, jhild posted a suggestion (on the CashCo thread) that stock-line might have been compensated for the CashCo interview. So I decided to dig deeper into stock-line, looking into internic and Edgar (also non-Edgar) filings and found the SEC reports that I posted links to on the CashCo thread.
I also went back to my own investment thread, HearX and had to eat crow, but I did post the same links there also.
Again, I'm sorry if you thought I was slamming CashCo or their management team. I wasn't. I was only setting the record straight regarding stock-line's SEC record. Also, note that there's nothing in the SEC filings regarding CashCo's transaction with stock-line, while other OTC-BB companies are specifically mentioned by name. I think it's probably safe to presume that CashCo (as well as HearX) did compensate stock-line for the work that stock-line performed, but it might be wrong of us to assume that anyone other than stock-line has violated any SEC guidelines here. Presuming that the interviews with the companies' CEOs were factually correct (I know that HearX was factually correct), I can't see where either CashCo or HearX has done anything wrong.
Just setting the record straight...
