Lucretius, I beg your pardon. You have regaled this thread with bogus information from your sources and a fallout shelter mentality. And then you insult the participants by calling them children. How do you expect anyone to take you seriously? Had you taken the time to read posts carefully you would have discovered that some on this thread are mildly bearish, and others, attempt to tone down the wildly bullish enthusiasm. For example, Greg discussed at limits to growth. Rudedog has discussed partitioning of the market. I discussed the dangers of financing salaries through stock options. Jim Kelley has extensively studied the impact of channel inventories on Dell's competitors and on Dell. Others have talked about the possible impact of set top boxes. Had you taken the time to read the information you would have discovered a wide range of opinions on this thread. The common theme is that these topics were well researched and based on documentation -- not unnamed sources.

So pardon me, if, to paraphrase Goldsmith, he stoops to conquer. If you would raise the level of your discussion, I wouldn't have to stoop so far.

TTFN,
CTC
