bede,

I live in suburban Denver and can't get over 28.8 on a line.

My Shotgun works 100% of the time, through a local ISP I found that supports it. I'm not a big Netcom fan. Their modems/line ratio is very high from what I understand, meaning you've got to share bandwidth somehow with everyone else. There is some research (that I can't relocate no matter how hard I try) that indicates win98's regular multilink protocol seriously degrades performance of dual modems. Additionally the Shotgun technology was the only method in use that bypassed the degradation.

With both lines connected, I can DL 16-18mb of software per hour. When I had a single line, I could DL 6mbs. Go figure. Perhaps its moving from my old 28.8 to the 56 v.90, even though my shown connect speed hasn't changed.

Alan
